It’s important to teach a child about how their brain works, but the positive shift only happens when parents use what they learn to adjust their expectations and build scaffolds for success. 

Boring things like chores, homework and getting ready for school/bed are difficult for fast brains! To make the days run smoother, help your child get started, break up big tasks into smaller ones, where possible make it fun, and always be there to cheer them on as they take steps towards the finish line.
